Event Detail

The MLPA Board of Directors held a conference call to discuss the feasibility of hosting the MLPA Summer Meeting.  The meeting focused on the current situation with COVID-19 and how to address safety and follow CDC guidelines, while still conducting the event.   Please note the following changes and announcements regarding this year’s meeting:

  • There is no change in plans regarding the MLPA Golf Tournament.
  • The Friday morning Business Meeting is being moved  from Friday to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon and will take place in Paradise C (formerly Salon C).
  • The MLPA Board Meeting – Executive Session will take place immediately following the Business Meeting.  Location is TBD.
  • The MLPA will still be doing its reception/dinner on the deck of JB’s Boathouse on Thursday at 5 p.m.   Wednesday night is still reserved for Associate Members to take Producer Members to dinner, should they choose.
  • There will be no MLPA programming on Friday.
  • When someone enters MLPA meeting/event space, your name will be checked for being a  registered attendee and you will be asked to have your temperature taken via a contactless thermometer.  If you refuse to have your temperature taken, or your temperature reads 100.4 degrees or higher, we ask you to not attend MLPA meetings/events.
  • The MLPA will provide masks for the meeting.  You are more than welcome to bring your own.   Meeting participants are highly encouraged to wear masks if you cannot maintain social distancing.  All MLPA meetings will be setup for social distancing.
  • Should you wish to cancel your hotel registration due to these changes, you must do so within 72 before your arrival to avoid penalties.   The reservations number for Margaritaville is 1-800-826-8272

These changes were made in the interest of best protecting the MLPA and its Members, while still conducting Association business.  This new agenda allows MLPA members who are allowed to attend meetings but not stay overnight in a hotel, the opportunity to participate in MLPA activities.   The MLPA Board of Directors & Staff appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these new challenges.  If you have any questions, please contact the MLPA office at 573-635-0208.
